God, Pontiac was just so on-point in the ‘60s. Damn safety crusaders and OAPEC embargo, had to team up to ruin everything.

They really were. Ever check out the interior of an early to mid 60s Bonneville? Fucking awesome, though Oldsmobile was damn nice, too.

Pontiac and Buick were both fantastic in 1965. I had a 2 door Buick Wildcat coupe many moons ago. It was huge and glorious. Nothing like coupe with no B pillars - roll all 4 windows down on a summer night, crank the tunes, stomp on the go-pedal as that big block torque just pulls and pulls. Good times in America.

Oldsmobile too!!
But yeah, a 196 5 2+ 2 with a 421 was the shit back then.

Since when does anything measured in metric ton of displacement have “responsive”.

I can honestly tell you, for a car this size, they are very responsive. Almost surprisingly so.

The innuendo in this advertisement is cringe worthy by today’s standards .

Ya think? It should be:
Responsive. Obedient. Satisfying to drive. And so is the car.

You can see there that it’s about 18 inches wider than a regular car LOL
